It is primarily used to prevent and treat dehydration resulting from conditions such as diarrhea, vomiting, or excessive sweating. The powder contains essential electrolytes including sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium citrate, and glucose. When dissolved in water, the solution replaces lost fluids and balances electrolyte levels in the body. Typically, one packet is mixed with a specified amount of water to create the rehydration solution. It is recommended for use at room temperature and should be consumed within 24 hours of preparation.
